LANGE was founded by mother and son Christiane and Tizian Lange, bringing together over three decades of experience in private residential property, psychology, sustainable construction and luxury real estate. Christiane’s background in psychotherapy and residential property has shaped a deep understanding of both homes and the people who live within them, while her work as a founding member of Klimatisch reflects a longstanding commitment to thoughtful, sustainable residential design. Before co-founding LANGE, Tizian was a Senior Consultant in the Luxury Division at Sotheby’s International Realty, becoming one of the youngest professionals to hold that position. Together, their complementary backgrounds form the foundation of a residential design practice guided by thoughtful judgment, timeless design and a genuine understanding of how exceptional homes are lived in.

Tizian's understanding of residential design began through early technical drawing and training within an architectural office, where he contributed to the planning and drawing of projects including Hamburg's Weltquartier development. His later experience within Dubai's luxury property market and working with Sotheby's International Realty provided a close understanding of how exceptional homes are lived in, valued and delivered. Today, he works alongside Christiane throughout the design process while leading project coordination, tendering, procurement and construction supervision, ensuring the design is carried faithfully from concept to completion.

Since 1993, Christiane has designed homes guided by proportion, natural materials and the belief that every home should reflect the people who live within it. Alongside three decades of residential design, she spent many years working as a psychotherapist and family counsellor, developing a deep understanding of human behaviour, relationships and the ways people experience their environments. At LANGE, these two disciplines naturally complement one another, allowing every commission to begin not with a style, but with a genuine understanding of the people who will call it home. She leads the creative direction of every project, shaping each home's spatial character, material palette and atmosphere.
Founder-led from beginning to completion
Every commission is led personally by Christiane and Tizian. Rather than growing into a large practice, LANGE deliberately remains boutique, allowing both founders to stay closely involved throughout design development, procurement and construction. Projects are never handed to junior teams or account managers as they progress.
