Introduction

This residence at Address Beach Resort in Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai, was transformed through furnishing and curation rather than architectural intervention. Furniture, lighting, objects and textiles were selected as one restrained composition, allowing the coastal light and existing proportions of the apartment to remain central. A restored wooden cabinet more than a century old introduces history and character among the contemporary pieces, giving the home a sense of continuity rather than the appearance of being newly assembled.

More than a century old, this cabinet was sourced as an antique specifically for the residence before undergoing a careful restoration. Chosen for its craftsmanship, patina and enduring character, it introduces a sense of permanence and history that quietly complements the contemporary interior.
